For educators & therapists
An accessible browser-based musical instrument that turns touch, movement, and gaze into sound and light. Built for inclusive classrooms, music therapy, and sensory rooms.
Why it works on school devices
- Runs in the browser. No installs, no admin rights, no accounts.
- Works on locked-down laptops, tablets, and phones with a front camera.
- Camera and microphone are processed on the device, never recorded or uploaded. Privacy policy.
- Classroom and professional use is expressly permitted in the terms.
Ways your students can play
- Touch or mouse: 18 live-synthesized instruments.
- Switch: a full-screen switch target, plus scanning on the play board.
- Head or eyes: an ordinary webcam is enough. No special hardware.
- Any motion: whole-body movement makes music, great for group play.
The Access mode
Access is the calmer instrument made for special education and therapy:
- No flashing effects, by design.
- Three levels: cause-and-effect, targets, and make-music.
- Big press pads (6, 9, or 12), or a plain touch-anywhere surface.
- Helper setup with dwell speed, sensitivity, volume, and feel: reachable mid-session with the ⚙️ button, so you never leave play to adjust.
- Leaving play needs a deliberate hold on the 🏠 button, so a stray tap never ends a session.
Start in five steps
- Open lightsoundcolors.com/studio on the student's device.
- Pick Accessibility Mode (or Live Play for the full instrument).
- Choose the input: touch, switch, head, eyes, or any motion.
- Allow the camera if using a hands-free input. It stays on the device.
- Play. Settings are under ⚙️ any time, without leaving the session.
The core instrument is free, with no time limits and no account. The optional $12 Pro unlock adds extra visuals, voices, and themes; it is never required for accessibility features.
