Short version: play free with no account, unlock Pro with the key from your purchase email, do not copy or resell the app or share your key, read the health warning before you play, and note that Pro is a $20 digital unlock delivered instantly, refundable for 30 days if it is not right for you. Disputes are settled by individual arbitration unless you opt out within 30 days.
Light Sound Colors and the website lightsoundcolors.com (the "Service") are owned and operated by Halal Helper LLC d/b/a Omerica Studios, a limited liability company based in New Jersey, USA ("we", "us"). You can always reach us at omer@halalhelper.com.
By opening or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian.
How acceptance is recorded for purchases. Before a Pro purchase, the buy button stays locked until you tick the Terms/Privacy box and the separate digital-delivery box. When you then click Get Pro, we make a best-effort timestamped pre-checkout record before Gumroad opens. The record is created even if you do not complete checkout. It includes the event, document versions, app release, UTC time, and delivery-consent choice; Netlify also attaches the submission IP address and request metadata. The submitted fields contain no name, email address, license key, sale ID, or order number. When a valid license key is successfully activated, we make a separate best-effort record containing a one-way key hash and Gumroad sale and order identifiers. Recording failures do not block checkout or activation. See the Privacy Policy for details and retention periods.
Light Sound Colors is an accessible browser-based music and visual instrument: a recreational creative instrument, not a medical device. The free version is free to play. An optional one-time purchase, Light Sound Colors Pro, unlocks additional visuals, journeys, instrument voices, and color themes. We may add, change, or remove features of the Service over time.
The Service was formerly published as Light Sound Colors Machine; that name and "Sound Machine" may still appear in older receipts, store listings, purchase links, and earlier package identifiers such as com.omerica.soundmachine. They refer to this same Service.
Pro purchases on this website are completed through Gumroad, Inc., which acts as the reseller and merchant of record for eligible transactions under its own terms. The checkout, the charge on your statement, and the receipt come from Gumroad. The price is shown at checkout. We never see or store your card or bank details; those go only to Gumroad and its payment processors, under Gumroad's own terms and privacy policy. We receive the transaction information Gumroad makes available to us for licensing, support, refunds, accounting, and fraud prevention. If native app-store versions are released in the future, purchases inside them will be processed by the store's own billing under the store's terms.
After a purchase you receive a unique license key by email. The key is for your use on devices you own or control, including the classroom, program, and support settings described in section 6, up to the device limit in section 6A. Entering it in the app sends the key, an indication that the activation-agreement box was checked, and ordinary request metadata to our same-origin verification function, which checks the key against Gumroad and applies rate limits. A successful activation may create the consent record described in section 2. The site stores no readable copy of the key and no hardware fingerprint. You agree not to share the key. If a legitimate purchaser reaches the device limit, support can assist.
Light Sound Colors Pro is a digital unlock delivered instantly, and we refund it within 30 days if it is not right for you: see section 5. The free version has no time limit and requires no account. Please try it on your own device before you buy, so you know it works for you.
Where the law gives you a withdrawal or cooling-off right for digital content (for example the 14-day right in the EU and UK), the buy button on the website stays locked until you expressly consent to immediate delivery of your unlock code and acknowledge that you lose that right once delivery begins. That consent is collected with its own checkbox before Gumroad opens. When you click Get Pro after checking both boxes, we make the best-effort pre-checkout record described in section 2, even if you do not complete the purchase. Gumroad separately keeps its transaction, receipt, and delivery records under its own terms. This does not limit the 30-day refund in section 5 or any refund right the law gives you that cannot be waived.
Payments are handled by Gumroad, and Gumroad may review refund or chargeback requests under its own policies, which we do not control. If a purchase is refunded, charged back, disputed, or reversed for any reason, your right to use Pro ends and the key stops unlocking. Nothing in this section removes a refund right that the law of your country gives you and does not allow to be waived.
Purchases made on this website are completed through Gumroad, Inc., the reseller and merchant of record for eligible transactions, which handles your payment details under its own terms and privacy policy. We never see or store your full card details, and no part of them is kept by us at any point. The standalone refund policy page restates this section in plain language.
Our 30-day refund. If Light Sound Colors Pro is not right for you, email omer@halalhelper.com within 30 days of your purchase and we will refund it. Please include the email address you used at checkout so we can find the order. The refund is issued back through Gumroad to the original payment method. Keys are verified against the purchase record, so a refunded, disputed, or charged-back purchase stops unlocking new devices. If native app-store versions are released, purchases made inside them will be refunded through the store under its own refund policy, which we do not control.
Pricing errors. If a price is ever shown incorrectly, we will cancel the order and refund it in full rather than charge you a different amount. We will never quietly charge a price you did not see and agree to at checkout.
This 30-day offer is something we give you on top of the law, not instead of it. It does not affect, replace, or shorten any statutory right you have, including the EU and UK withdrawal (cooling-off) rights described in section 4 and any other refund right your country gives you that cannot be waived.
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own enjoyment. This expressly includes teachers, support professionals, and caregivers using the Service with the people they work with, in classrooms, recreation programs, nonprofit settings, and similar settings, on devices they control. You agree not to:
There are no user accounts. A Pro purchase through Gumroad delivers a unique unlock key by email; entering it in the app unlocks Pro on that device. A key may be used on up to 5 devices you own or control; past that limit it is refused, and you can contact support for a legitimate exception. Keys are verified against the purchase record on our server, and a refunded or charged-back purchase deactivates its key. Keep your key private; it and your Gumroad receipt are your proof of purchase. We may refuse a verification that exceeds the device limit, is refunded or charged back, exceeds rate limits, or shows abuse. Transaction and fraud-prevention records may be retained where reasonably necessary or legally required.
The Service displays flashing lights, moving patterns, and rapid color changes that can trigger seizures in a small number of people, even people with no prior history. If you have epilepsy, a seizure disorder, photosensitivity, or any medical condition of any kind, or any doubt at all, ask your doctor before playing. Stop immediately and seek medical attention if you feel dizzy, disoriented, or unwell while playing. Keep the volume moderate, especially with headphones. Children should play only with adult supervision. The full notice is in the app under Health & safety, and by using the Service you confirm you have read it.
Light Sound Colors is a recreational creative instrument. It is not a medical device, does not diagnose, treat, or improve any condition, provides no health benefit, and must never be used in place of professional medical care or advice.
The Service, including its code, synthesized sounds, visuals, names, and branding, is owned by Halal Helper LLC d/b/a Omerica Studios and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights reserved. The Service is provided for use through this website only: no license is granted to install, package, side-load, mirror, or redistribute it in any form, and native app-store versions, when released, will be the only supported installed form. No license is granted to copy, re-host, re-skin, translate, or create derivative versions of the Service or any part of its code, whether by hand or by automated tools, and browser access or "view source" does not grant such a license or change ownership. Two things in that list are worth naming separately, because they are owned differently. The Beat School lessons and lesson copy, the pad layout, the visuals, the themes, and all of the code are original Omerica Studios work and are covered by the paragraph above. The recorded instrument samples are not ours: they are third-party recordings released into the public domain under CC0, and we claim no ownership of them, which is why nothing in these Terms restricts what you do with those recordings at their source. Every one of them is listed with its origin and licence in Open source, AI & services and, file by file with its checksum, in the sample sources register. The app also includes Google MediaPipe hand, face and body-pose tracking, © Google LLC, used under the Apache License 2.0; its license and notices ship with the app. A full list of third-party components, machine-learning models, and service providers is at Open source, AI & services. Light Sound Colors is not affiliated with any instrument or hardware brand.
What you make is yours. The pictures you save with Save Art and the clips you record with Rec are created by you, on your device, and belong to you. We claim no ownership of them and need no license to them (they never reach us). You may keep, share, publish, and use them commercially, with no attribution required. This grant covers your exported pictures and clips; it does not transfer ownership of the Service's underlying code, sounds, or visual engines described above.
If you send us feedback or ideas, you agree we may use them freely without obligation to you.
If you believe anything in the Service infringes your copyright, email omer@halalhelper.com with the material in question, where it appears, proof of your ownership, and your contact information, and we will respond promptly.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any given time.
You use the Service entirely at your own risk. You are responsible for reading the health and safety notice in section 7 before playing, for deciding whether the Service is appropriate for you or anyone you allow to play, and for everything you do with the Service or with anything you make in it. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we accept no responsibility for any use of the Service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Halal Helper LLC d/b/a Omerica Studios, its owner, and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss of data, or loss of profits, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for all claims relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or ten US dollars, whichever is greater.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or liability limits, so parts of the two sections above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms takes away consumer rights that the law says cannot be waived.
You agree to hold us harmless from claims and costs (including reasonable legal fees) that arise from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these terms.
We may suspend or end access to the Service, or to Pro, for anyone who violates these terms. You can stop using the Service at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, governing law, and arbitration) survive any ending of these terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to the arbitration agreement in section 15, disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except where the law of your home jurisdiction gives you a non-waivable right to a different venue.
Please read this section carefully. It changes how disputes between us are resolved, and it limits the ways you can bring a claim. You can opt out of it within 30 days, and opting out costs you nothing.
Binding individual arbitration. Except for the claims carved out just below, any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Service, a purchase, or these terms will be resolved by binding individual arbitration rather than in court. The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect when the arbitration is started. It will take place in New Jersey, USA, or remotely by phone, video, or documents only, whichever you prefer. The arbitrator decides the dispute, and the award may be entered as a judgment in any court with jurisdiction.
Small claims, and injunctions. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court, so long as the claim qualifies for that court and stays there. Either of us may also ask a court for an injunction to stop actual or threatened infringement or misuse of intellectual property. Using either of these options is not a waiver of the rest of this section.
Jury trial waiver. By agreeing to arbitration, you and we both give up the right to a trial by jury and the right to have a dispute decided by a judge in court, except in the two situations named above.
No class or representative actions. Claims may be brought only in your or our individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated, coordinated, private-attorney-general, or other representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not combine more than one person's claims, may not preside over any class or representative proceeding, and may award relief only to the individual party seeking it, and only to the extent that party's individual claim requires.
How to opt out, within 30 days. You can opt out of this entire section. Email omer@halalhelper.com with the subject line Arbitration opt-out within 30 days of first accepting these terms, and include your name and the email address you use with us. That is all it takes; no form and no reason are needed. Opting out costs nothing, does not affect your use of the Service or any purchase you have made, and leaves the rest of these terms, including section 14 on governing law, fully in effect.
Severability. If the class and representative action waiver above is held unenforceable as to a particular claim or a particular request for relief, that claim or request is severed and heard in court under section 14, while every other claim stays in arbitration. If any other part of this section is held unenforceable, that part alone is severed and the remainder of this section still applies. Nothing here removes a right the law gives you that cannot be waived, and if the law where you live does not permit binding pre-dispute arbitration of consumer claims, this section does not apply to you and section 14 governs instead.
If these terms change, we will update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms. If you do not accept a change, stop using the Service.
